That Tomato Can Has A Name!

Boxing fans are some of the most childish fans I have ever been around, which makes conversations with some of them as entertaining as some of the fights we discussed.
A simple back-and-forth on a Facebook post can turn into anarchy in mere minutes with no hint it’s about to happen.
Example:
In the middle of me and other boxing fans having a conversation under a post about Manny gearing up for his next fight, Mayweather’s name is brought up and blasted for having exhibition style fights vs Manny’s strives for another title.
We talked a little more about Manny’s potential opponent for his next fight and someone shouted that MAYWEATHER WAS A FRAUD, and he is instantly renamed Gayweather, and Manny is now referred to as Pactard!
This happened so fast I had to scroll back and see where it started, and it was simply a guy posting “MAYWEATHER WAS A FRAUD” under someone’s post that stated that “Manny should go after a lower level opponent instead of a young lion that could really hurt him.”
That’s how easy it is to incite a virtual riot of words that overshadow any type of logic or reasoning.
During all the name calling and borderline death threats, some fighters are accused of fighting tomato cans.
How do you respond to someone calling you a tomato can? If they say it to your face do you have to fight them immediately?

A tomato can is a slang term for a boxer who is, well, like a huge tomato can; they basically are there to be punched and have great probability of spewing red sauce/blood if you hit them enough.
I think it’s a brutally disrespectful name for any fighter but the humor is not lost on me! How do you respond to someone calling you a tomato can? If they say it to your face do you have to fight them immediately?
BUT these so called “Tomato Cans” are actually in the 1% of boxers to ever make it to a televised fight. It doesn’t matter how or why, they are actually checking off a box on their to do list or putting a line through a bucket list item that roughly 99% of boxers never get to do.
So, the next time you fix your fingers to type that someone is a tomato can, remember this, if I read it, I’m… probably going to laugh, SMH!!!
