Floyd vs Manny Again… Ok

Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquio are said to be in discussions about a rematch.
I can start this off by talking about all the extras that come with this fight, like how the first fight happened well past when the fans wanted it, and the how-and-why both sides derailed the initial signing, but nope, I’m not going to do that.
I’m not going to go into depth of how this fight is pointless, won’t prove much, or why would anybody want to see this?
I won’t address much of any of that because, lets be honest; if people are willing to pay to see a Youtuber fight a retired basketball player, why wouldn’t they pay for this?
Is it a fight that will hold a lot of meaning, no, will it be action packed? Was the first fight action packed, you know, the one where both fighters were years younger? No, well there’s your answer.
I predicted the first fight would not be as exciting as many were expecting, and I’m giving the same prediction for this fight but worse, it will be a snooze fest!
If this fight gets made it will be fueled by Pacquio, and his fans, trying to get redemption for losing to Mayweather the villain that made him wait until he got old before taking the fight.

It will be fueled by the people that want to see Mayweather’s zero losses increased by 1, but other than that, like other fights where retired boxers make it back to the ring, the end to this fight will be celebrated immediately and will be forgotten almost as fast, especially if Floyd wins again.
I’m not excited about this fight being made but I understand why it is.
If your first movie breaks box office records, the sequel is damn near imminent.
Money is why boxers fight and everything else comes second to that, no matter what you hear about fighting for legacy.
Now, am I saying that all fighters that say they are fighting for legacy is telling a lie, NO, there are some fighters that no longer worry about a paycheck and could afford to walk away from the sport but fights to continue to prove their greatness, BUT do you think that same legacy fighting fighter would fight for little to no money? Nine times out of ten the answer is an astounding NO!
Legacy is something that is distilled into almost all fighters at some point, but the amount of money they will make almost always take the top spot for the list of reasons they fight!
This fight will be a money grab, nothing more, nothing less.
Will I be watching it? More than likely, but I know what I’m going to get out of this fight and I’m also hoping the undercard is stacked to make this a somewhat successful event.

It is heart breaking when the best entertainment you get from a boxing event is the ring girls, but I’ve always been a silver lining type of guy, so…
