Zab has a big reason to be “Super” Judah at least one more time

When is the last time you heard Zab Judah referred to as “Super,” other than someone taking the time to include his alias? The fact of the matter is, he hasn’t looked super in a long time against a creditable opponent, but is it because he’s simply old now or is he lacking the motivation? I think we’ll find out this Saturday because this fight is a little different than his latest bouts.

Danny Garcia is undefeated, young, and has a belt, so Zab needed no extra motivation to train hard for this fight, but I believe they gave him something that could propel a person to go that extra mile; Disrespect! It’s one thing to be angry at a person or annoyed, but when you feel disrespected, as Zab has stated he feels, it makes you feel as if you have to react in a certain way, and Judah has a large stage to do just that.

In a press conference Zab and Danny Garcia’s dad, Angel Garcia, got into a shouting match, which almost led to punches being thrown but the two was separated, but it all started off of the things that Angel said about Zab. He basically said that Zab was washed up, he said this was a new era, and that Zab was no longer a factor. He spoke as if this fight was pointless and that the only respect he gives zab is the respect that comes with putting on boxing gloves. He seemed to get personal with Zab and rather tasteless, especially since he’s not the one getting in the ring, but it does make for a better hype job and I’m sure it’ll make for a more anticipated conclusion.

Feeling disrespected is weighing on Zab’s mind because if he goes out there and losses, he will be faced with an “I Told You So” which could be more devastating than the loss itself. I’m not sure how this fight will pan out yet, but Zab needs this win more than Danny does. If he goes out and wins, he will have proven himself and also will be able to dictate when his career ends, but if he loses, especially by 5th round knockout, like predicted by Angel, his career will end Saturday. This will be the beginning of the end of Zab’s last hooray, or it will be evident that it ended long time ago.

I’m not giving an official prediction until closer to the fight, but this is shaping up to be a war, and if anything was going to get Judah to rise to the occasion, Angel Garcia found it! So, Zab has a big reason to be “Super” Judah at least one more time.
