HOC PROMOTIONS PRESENTS
Most Mondays are packed with disappointment and disheartenment from the conclusion of the weekend and the launch of the work week, but not at the House of Champions; the atmosphere in this boxing gym on the west side of Indianapolis is full of purpose and fortitude as it initiates fight week.
The clanking of the round timer, rhythm of speed bags, and wallops of punches landing on heavy bags rang out as the HOC fighter’s grind towards being prepared for Saturday. You have the 23 year old unbeaten prospect Malcolm “KO” Jones and the older Keon “Neon” Johnson, both working towards improving their craft.
The gym owner, former professional boxer George Blades, is seen working the mitts with Jones in the middle of his creation. Known for helping the youth, Blades seems pleased at the direction the gym is headed in with upcoming boxing events and community projects; he’s giving back and having fun doing it.
